Walk for the DaVinci Center

Come join the fun – great exercise and support the Da Vinci Center at the same time!
On Saturday, October 15, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Lincoln Woods State Park in Lincoln, Rhode Island. We will hold a walk for a good cause – Da Vinci Center social programs. There are three ways you can assist:

1) Walk and get sponsors for every mile you walk   

2) Make a donation

3) Be a sponsor for someone who is walking.

 It is always better if you can walk with us and enjoy the beautiful Fall foliage in the pristine setting of colorful trees by the pond. The $10.00 registration fee includes an event t-shirt and refreshments. For more information call the DaVinci Center at 272-7474.

HIGHWAY TO SUCCESS  PROGRAM

The DaVinci Center has received a government grant to assist adults with educational opportunities. The classes offered provide basic skills to assist in obtaining employment.
The classes offered are as follows:

GED Preparation - Classes are held several days per week until July 2012. Both day and night.

English for Speakers of Other Languages ( ESOL) - These classes are offered for
both basic and intermediate English levels. All classes are taught in English. Classes are offered day and night.

Basic Computer Skills-Four 50 hour sessions are offered to teach enough computer Skills to assist in qualifying for basic office work. Classes are offered three days pre week.  NEXT SESSION BEGINS: Oct 11. 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Certified Nurse Assistant Training -( CNA) A ten week training program will be
held at the DaVinci Center leading towards licensing as a Certified Nurse Assistant beginning in January 2012.

College Course - A three credit college course “Psychology of Personal Adjustment”  taught by Community College of Rhode Island on the DaVinci Center campus will take place on Tuesday and  Thursday 6:30-8:00 from January 24-May 10.The course is free to persons who have never taken a college course. Students are responsible for text books.
