Part-Time Case Manager
The DaVinci Center for Community Progress is a nonprofit organization serving the North End of Providence, Rhode Island. The center offers a variety of programs, including adult education, youth development, senior services, healthcare access, and community support, aiming to uplift residents through education, wellness, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Client Support & Case Management
• Conduct client intakes, assessments, and screenings.
• Provide referrals, direct assistance, and follow-up to individuals and families.
• Assist clients with applications for SNAP, Medicaid/Medicare, utilities assistance, rental assistance, and other benefits.
• Support clients facing transportation, mobility, or financial barriers.
• Provide crisis intervention when needed. Basic Needs & Pantry Oversight
• Oversee the food pantry, ensuring proper organization, cleanliness, inventory control, and clientfriendly service delivery.
• Manage diaper distribution, including intake tracking and ensuring families receive appropriate sizes and quantities.
• Coordinate with volunteers and staff assisting with food and diaper programs.
• Maintain compliance with safety and confidentiality guidelines. Resource Navigation
• Maintain updated knowledge of community agencies and services.
• Coordinate with partners such as RICFB, housing organizations, health providers, and local nonprofits.
• Assist with scheduling workshops, appointments, and community support activities. Program Support
• Assist with outreach, community events, and program activities.
• Support surveys, data collection, and program evaluation efforts.
Other Requirements:
•Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain accurate case notes using My Senior Center and internal systems.
• Track client outcomes and assist with monthly and quarterly grant reporting.
• Ensure confidentiality and adherence to CDBG guidelines.
Collaboration
• Work collaboratively with staff, AmeriCorps members, volunteers, and partner agencies.
• Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and community events as required
Qualifications
• Associate degree in Human Services or a related field required
• 1–2 years of experience in case management, human services, or community outreach preferred.
• Experience working with vulnerable populations is a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-centered environment.
• Familiarity with My Senior Center is helpful (training provided).
Work Environment
• On-site at the DaVinci Center with occasional community outreach.
• Must be comfortable supporting individuals and families experiencing crisis or instability.
• Occasional evenings or weekends may be required during events.
